Okay, so when I heard my TTT for this week, I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget it! (The last two weeks I've heard something cute come out of Caleb's mouth then forgotten what it was by Tuesday). So here it is:
We had Father's Day lunch with my parents at Olive Garden in Omaha. Caleb was eating a lot of breadsticks, so my mom said, "You're going to turn into a breadstick, and then you'll be Breadstick Smith!" (our last name is Smith) So then Caleb said, "Noooo!" in that tone of "grandma you are being silly my name isn't breadstick"...but then popped right back in with "I'd be Breadstick MATTHEW Smith!" (Matthew is his middle name)
Maybe you just had to be there, but this busted me up laughing at the table.
That's adorable. I need to start writing mine down too. I forgot loads this week. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThat is great! Kids are so much smarter than we give them credit for.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how quick they are to respond with something like this. What a cute quote! And I've started writing them down, too!

That is absolutely precious. I'd call him Breadstick for the rest of his life after that. :D
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!
ReplyDeleteA few years ago, our friends took to telling their little boy, "See you later, Alligator." It wasn't long after that when they introduced him to someone, and he stuck out his hand and said, "How do you do? My name is Alligator."
Cute.
